February senior of the month is a highly motivated, enthusiastic and extremely dedicated student. She is a bright and intelligent young lady, and her success in many academic areas contributed to her membership in the National, English, Tri-M, and World Language Honor Societies. Her involvement and commitment to the Carey community is unsurpassed. This amazing leader is President of the World Language Honor Society, Student Government Historian, Vice President of Amnesty International, Representative for the Class of 2019 and Vice President of the Model United Nations. She holds the position of Managing Editor of the Carey Clipper and writes for Poseidon, two avenues for her to share her love of literature and writing. Additionally, this involved senior is a member of the Political Awareness Club, Photography Club, 21st Century Scholars, SOS club, Jazz band and the Varsity Track and Field team. She is also a caring volunteer in her community through her work in her Girl Scout troop, as well as working with younger students in a local elementary school. She has at her young age already been to Iceland, France, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Her extensive exposure to travel combined with her desire to write and her curiosity of world affairs all contributed to her desire to pursue a career in International Relations. It gives us great pleasure to congratulate February’s senior of the month, Kelsey Cartelli.
