Saying that October’s Senior of the Month is involved at Carey is an understatement.  She is an outstanding student, leader, and person who possesses a keen intellect, indomitable spirit and unwavering smile. She has showcased her vast leadership abilities as Treasurer of FBLA, Editor of LOG, Co-President of the Gender Equality Club and Vice-President of the Marine Wildlife Club.  In addition, she is a valuable member of the Superintendent’s Advisory Council, our Debate Club, and has held almost every leadership position in Student Government over the past six years. Her dedication has earned her many honors, such as inductions into the National, Business and Science Honor Societies; she was selected as Business Student of the Month and was accepted into a competitive Summer Honors Institute as well. Outside of Carey, she has volunteered thoroughly throughout the community and also holds a part-time job. Carey High School is proud to name our Student Government President—Kaitlyn Beers—as October’s senior of the month.

A highly motivated over-achiever, this October Senior of the Month is the true epitome of a well-rounded student. Recognized for his excellence in the classroom, he has been inducted into the National, Math, English, and Social Studies Honor Societies. Despite a heavy academic schedule, he has always been dedicated to the things he enjoys outside of the classroom. He plays for our ice hockey team, runs track and has been a part of the music department since the seventh grade. Not only is he involved in Model UN, FBLA, Stage Crew and the Class of 2020, all of which he holds the role of either President or Vice President, he works with the community in the elementary schools as a teacher for both the Robotics Program and Model UN. He takes great pride in the activities in which he is involved and is consistently challenging himself around the clock. This year, he took on the position of Editor for Log and is a key player behind Relay for Life. Please congratulate our Homecoming King and Class of 2020 valedictorian, Gary Faraone, as October’s Senior of the Month.
